Commercial Lines Account Manager

Account Manager Responsibilities Manage daily client service needs for a designated book of business, coordinating with Producers or Account Executives. Use system tools to maintain data integrity and keep the system of record up‑to‑date with all client interactions. Communicate regularly with clients via email or phone, acting as the primary recipient of daily questions or changes. Provide guidance to third‑party vendors on account aspects and issue certificates, invoices, and policy changes as requested. Support renewal strategy, including discussing market approaches, reviewing claims, and gathering exposure information. Create and submit renewal proposals and binding proposals, ensuring all documentation is accurate. Obtain loss run or policy documentation directly from carrier websites when needed. Process monthly, quarterly, and annual audits and generate related reports. Review and manage contracts that are not overly complex, and handle claims reporting for large claims. Set up policies in the system of record for billing purposes and manage invoice requests for agency bills. Address aged accounts receivable issues, generate funds return requests, and coordinate timely accounting responses. Align renewal strategies with carrier and wholesaler partners, leveraging buyer power for optimal terms. Participate in corporate initiatives, retention goals, and compliance audits as required. Engage in stretch assignments to further career development and contribute to a culture of accountability and collaboration. Qualifications and Experience 2+ years of experience in a property & casualty brokerage environment. Knowledge of property & casualty business and familiarity with brokerage processes. Ability to follow procedures and process guidance consistently. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Self‑discipline and poise under pressure when working through issues. Team‑player ability to work efficiently in collaborative environments. Hold or be willing to obtain required insurance licenses as required by the company.
