Position Purpose Responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong professional relationships in the Bank’s Customer Service Center. Professionally, courteously, and promptly resolves customer questions and/or problems. Performs a broad variety of financial services such as opening and closing accounts, renewing time deposit accounts, and assisting customers with account inquiries, maintenance, and problem resolution. Has knowledge and experience with deposit and loan products and services. Essential Functions and Basic Duties Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional performance of financial service functions. Takes customer calls. Answers questions and solves problems for customers by listening, collecting data, and securing answers. Assists customers with Checking, Savings, Time Deposits, IRAs, Loans, Safe Deposit Boxes, Internet Banking, Debit Cards, and Credit Cards. Handles complaints in a professional manner. presents and explains Bank products and services to customers and assists in meeting their financial needs, including opening, closing, and maintaining accounts, working with safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and consumer loans. Consistently strives to meet the Customer Service Center’s call quality goals. Maintains and projects the Bank's professional reputation while adhering to the Bank policies. Establishes and maintains coordination with area personnel and management, keeps management informed of problems, and maintains professional relationships with associates. Assists other departments as needed, keeps the work area clean, secure, and well maintained, and maintains privacy of customer information. Other duties as assigned. Performance Measurements Financial service functions are performed efficiently, effectively, and accurately in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures. Customer relations are good; problems and complaints are addressed promptly and professionally. Accurate and complete information about Bank products and services is provided to customers. Good working relationships and coordination exist with area personnel and management; management is informed of activities. Consistently meets established call quality standards. Conveys and maintains the Bank's professional reputation. Qualifications Education/Certification: Associate Degree or two years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Required Knowledge: Preferred knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, and procedures. Experience Required: 1 year of customer service experience. Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and public relations skills, well organized, able to work well under pressure, computer skills, ability to work overtime as needed. Physical Activities and Requirements Finger dexterity for typing and small movements. Talking with accurate, loud, or quick communication. Average hearing and visual abilities for standard tasks. Physical strength: sedentary work; occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. Working Conditions No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions – typical office environment. Mental Activities and Requirements Reasoning ability to apply common sense to problem solving with few variables. Basic mathematics: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers, handling money and units. Language ability to understand and communicate complex sentences with proper vocabulary. Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00am-7:00pm, rotating Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm (availability to work a flexible schedule including all hours of Call Center operation and holidays). 40 hours per week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
