Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, utilizing assessment tools to gather relevant patient history and determine appropriate treatment protocols.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring they are involved in goal-setting for their rehabilitation journey.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols that are based on thorough evaluations and adapt them as necessary, considering the patient's progress and changing health needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, consulting with other professionals as needed to provide the best patient care and document any changes in medical or rehabilitation needs promptly.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Exhibit strong time management skills and meet department productivity expectations while maintaining flexibility to participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental objectives by participating in meetings, striving towards continual improvement, and complying with all regulatory standards.
• Engage in professional development activities, including serving as a clinical instructor for students and pursuing opportunities for continuing education.
• Foster a positive patient experience by adapting to the diverse needs of each patient and finding innovative solutions to any barriers to access care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will work with a varied patient population, focusing on outpatient rehabilitation. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) required.
• Current valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida or eligibility to obtain.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy practice is preferred, although new graduates with a strong educational foundation will also be considered. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and outcomes measurement tools is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
