Billing Specialist

Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator to join its accounting and finance team. This position will be responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of client invoices, ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm billing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process monthly client invoices and pre-bills. Review attorney time entries and billing narratives for accuracy and compliance. Submit invoices through electronic billing platforms and resolve any billing rejections. Maintain client billing information, rates, and matter data within the accounting system. Generate billing and work-in-progress reports for attorneys and management. Assist with collections efforts and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed. Research and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner. Support month-end and year-end billing processes. Qualifications 2+ years of law firm billing experience preferred. Experience with legal billing and accounting software such as Elite, Aderant, Juris, SurePoint, or similar systems. Familiarity with electronic billing platforms including Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Tymetrix, or comparable systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
