Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.QualificationsEducationGraduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing RequiredBachelor's Degree PreferredWork Experience1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting PreferredLicenses and CertificationsRN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure RequiredBCLS - Basic Life Support RequiredAdvanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) RequiredPALS Certification (Emergency Department) RequiredChemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) RequiredNRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) RequiredAWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year RequiredPEARS Certification (at Piedmont Athens Hospital) RequiredPALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) RequiredACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) RequiredACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) RequiredExperienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 DaysBusiness Unit: Company NamePiedmont Augusta Hospital
