About the Role

Statera Law is seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 1–3 years of legal experience to join our family law practice. Prior family law experience is strongly preferred, but we are also open to a smart, motivated attorney with litigation, clerkship, or private-client experience who wants to develop in this practice area.

This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who wants hands-on experience, direct mentoring, sophisticated client work, and long-term growth with a well-established practice. The associate will work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff while gradually taking on increased responsibility for matters, client communication, drafting, discovery, negotiation, and court appearances.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with and represent clients in divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, marital agreement, and related family law matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, legal memoranda, proposed orders, settlement documents, and other case materials
• Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, reviewing financial documents, preparing disclosures, issuing subpoenas, and assisting with depositions
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, conferences, and trial
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical analysis for attorneys and clients
• Communicate with clients in a professional, compassionate, and confident manner
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to move matters forward
• Manage deadlines, priorities, and case tasks with increasing independence
• Help maintain the firm’s standards for client service, organization, professionalism, and discretion

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing
• Approximately 1–3 years of legal experience preferred
• Family law, litigation, judicial clerkship, or private-client experience preferred
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Professional maturity, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence
• Comfort working with clients in sensitive, high-conflict, and confidential matters
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
• Interest in developing a long-term family law practice
• Collaborative, organized, responsive, and willing to learn
• High attention to detail and commitment to excellent client service

Work Environment

This position is hybrid/primarily remote, with periodic in-person requirements for court appearances, client meetings, team meetings, firm events, and other practice needs. The firm’s office is located in downtown Denver.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000–$145,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and fit. Statera Law also offers discretionary and/or performance-based bonus opportunities.
