Work Environment

The work environment is based in our state-of-the-art surgical center located in North Las Vegas, which is equipped with the latest medical technologies and facilities to support complex orthopaedic procedures. The position offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, allowing for a work-life balance as there are no weekend shifts. As part of our team, you will engage collaboratively with surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced practitioner care to orthopaedic patients, focusing on diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventative care.
• Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose conditions, utilizing imaging studies and laboratory results to inform treatment plans.
• Gather patient histories, formulate treatment protocols, and prescribe necessary medications.
• Assist in surgical procedures, providing necessary support to the attending orthopaedic surgeon.
• Manage patient care across the orthopaedic continuum, from pre-operative assessments to post-operative follow-ups in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Stay current with clinical practices in orthopaedic care and participate in ongoing education and training programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse patient population, including those with various orthopaedic conditions such as fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, and degenerative disorders. You will work closely with patients of all ages, emphasizing empathy and understanding in every interaction. Your care will significantly impact patient recovery and their overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of recent clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in orthopaedic specialty care.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program with a master’s degree or higher.
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant and national certification.
• DEA Certification within three months post-hire.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated through effective patient interactions.
• Sound clinical judgment skills to assess and address patient needs effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in managing urgent referrals from community settings.
• Recent experience in wound care.
• Hands-on training or fellowship in orthopaedic procedures is highly desirable.
• A proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 160,000 annually, supplemented by potential bonuses based on performance and patient outcomes.
