Work Environment

This role will be located onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, providing outpatient care exclusively. Operating Monday through Friday, our facility emphasizes a collaborative team approach, allowing for a shared commitment to patient-centered care. This setup ensures that you will not have to perform any inpatient rounding, enabling you to focus on outpatient responsibilities and patient interactions during regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccinations and conduct routine health screenings, ensuring adherence to public health guidelines.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and families regarding health management and preventive care.
• Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic medical record system in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves children from infancy through adolescence, including those from low-income and ethnically diverse backgrounds. As a Pediatric Physician Assistant, you will address a broad spectrum of pediatric health issues, from acute illness to chronic disease management. Your ability to empathize and connect with both the patients and their families will be critical in fostering trust and enhancing treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and valid state license.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a pediatric setting is required.
• Candidates with a current Nurse Practitioner certification, grandfathered in before the Master's degree requirement, and relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present patient information effectively.
• Ability to navigate and adhere to healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income and minority communities with cultural sensitivity.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care management.
• Prior work in a fast-paced outpatient environment, with demonstrated success in managing multiple patient cases effectively.
• Proficiency in pediatric health assessments and treatment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
