Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders while considering cultural factors and individual patient contexts.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices, regularly reviewing and adjusting these plans based on the patient’s progress and feedback.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring proper dosages while documenting their effectiveness and any side effects experienced by patients.
• Provide a variety of psychotherapy and counseling services, employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to meet individual patient needs.
• Engage in active collaboration with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic care for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and essential self-care strategies that can aid in recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including updates on medication response, therapy outcomes, and emerging symptoms, using our integrated electronic health records (EHR) system.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to evaluate treatment effectiveness and identify concerns, making the necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance clinical knowledge and contribute to improving patient care standards.
• Adhere strictly to legal and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nevada.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Proven clinical experience in psychiatric and mental health settings.
• In-depth knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities.
• Experience in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications.
• Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing rapport with patients and collaborating with a team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
