Job Description
Title: CNA - Long Term Care

Schedule: Full time evenings (7.5 hours x 5 days/week) + every other weekend, holidays required

Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week
- Contract Length: 14 weeks

Requirements:
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
- BLS certification through AHA or RQI
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living needs (hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care, etc.) as per care plan
- Maintain resident safety and environment (respond to call lights, use safety equipment, prevent falls, clean unit)
- Support residents with meals (deliver trays, help with feeding, use adaptive equipment, honor food preferences)
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs (range of motion, walking, transfers, proper positioning, use of aids)
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
- Measure and record weight, intake, and output
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
- Help with resident social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship
- Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights at all times
- Report resident concerns, changes, or refusals to nursing staff promptly
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner per protocol
