Qualifications:

• Current interpreter certification: Registry for the Deaf or Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Experience working with children preferred
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting (if not already on file)
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics

Responsibilities:

• Interpret in classrooms and for school activities, including extracurriculars (cheer, dance, choir)
• Provide instructional support and tutoring under teacher direction
• Assist with behavior management and adapt communication strategies to student needs
• Liaise with teachers regarding student progress and special needs
• Maintain required administrative records and attend ARD meetings
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and special events
• Ensure reliable attendance and adapt as directed by supervisors
