Job Summary

A growing private money lending environment in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking an experienced Loan Servicing Representative for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a highly accurate mortgage servicing professional who understands the full lifecycle of private money loan administration, including note and trust deed servicing, payoff demands, reconveyances, modifications, compliance reporting, delinquency management, and foreclosure coordination.

The Loan Servicing Representative will work in a professional, detail-driven setting where accuracy, discretion, and sound judgment are essential. Key Responsibilities

- Administer mortgage loan servicing from funding through payoff, including note and trust deed documentation, reconveyances, payoff demands, verifications of mortgage, modifications, and extensions.
- Process payment statements, delinquency notices, balloon payment notices, senior lien notices, reinstatement figures, and prepayment penalty calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform bank and trust account reconciliations and prepare quarterly and annual compliance reporting within required deadlines.
- Respond to borrower and investor inquiries, initiate outbound communication as needed, and explain financial resolutions clearly and professionally.
- Coordinate with escrow, title, foreclosure trustees, and legal partners to manage Notice of Default and foreclosure processes from initiation through completion.
- Follow up on lease affidavits and maintain tenant communication for rental properties when borrowers stop making monthly payments.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year plus opportunity for performance bonuses

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage complete private money loan servicing administration from funding through payoff.
- Coordinate payoff demands, reconveyances, loan modifications, extensions, and compliance reporting.
- Oversee delinquency, Notice of Default, and foreclosure administration with outside professionals.
- Maintain accurate reconciliations, borrower communications, investor updates, and loan servicing records.

- Minimum 5 years of experience servicing hard money or private money loans.
- Demonstrated experience with Notice of Default and foreclosure administration.
- Strong working knowledge of note and trust deed law, documentation, and servicing requirements.
- Established working relationships with escrow companies, title companies, foreclosure companies, and law firms.
- Ability to learn and operate proficiently within TMO loan servicing software or similar servicing platforms.
- Strong ability to calculate payoff figures, reinstatement amounts, prepayment penalties, and related loan servicing figures accurately.
- Experience with bank and trust account reconciliation and compliance reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work in a zero-error environment.
- Clear, concise, timely, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of discretion, trustworthiness, initiative, and independent problem-solving ability.
- Professional composure when communicating with borrowers, investors, legal partners, and third-party service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience servicing California private money or hard money loan portfolios.
- Direct experience using TMO loan servicing software.
- Familiarity with California trust deed processes, statutory foreclosure timelines, and investor servicing expectations.
