Overview

The SAP MDG Business Partner Functional Consultant will support enterprise master data governance initiatives within a federal SAP S/4HANA environment. This role is responsible for configuring and optimizing SAP MDG Business Partner solutions that improve data quality, strengthen governance processes, and ensure consistent customer and vendor master data across integrated SAP landscapes.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Business Partner Functional Consultant to lead business process design, solution configuration, and master data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP MDG Business Partner, workflow configuration, business rules management, and data replication, along with strong experience collaborating with stakeholders across finance, procurement, supply chain, and technical teams. This individual will play a critical role in delivering high-quality SAP solutions that support operational efficiency and data integrity within a federal environment.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering sessions and business process workshops to define Business Partner master data governance needs.
Collaborate with government stakeholders and business teams to document business rules, functional requirements, and governance processes.
Configure SAP MDG Business Partner solutions, including data modeling, UI FPM modeling, and process modeling.
Develop and maintain business rules, validation logic, and derivation rules using SAP Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+).
Configure and support Business Partner governance processes for customer and vendor lifecycle management.
Implement and maintain Data Replication Framework (DRF) configurations to support master data distribution across SAP environments.
Support Business Partner integration through SOA Services, Web Services, and IDoc technologies.
Partner with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and technical teams to ensure accurate and consistent master data management.
Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, process flows, and governance documentation.
Execute unit testing and integration testing activities and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements to improve SAP MDG performance and usability.
Participate in change management, process improvement, and user adoption initiatives.
Provide technical and functional guidance on master data governance best practices.
Support enterprise SAP modernization and master data governance initiatives within a multi-system landscape.
Travel occasionally to client locations to provide on-site support and project assistance.
Adhere to established quality assurance, security, and information governance processes.
Perform additional project-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience supporting SAP Business Partner, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), or related SAP master data solutions.
Hands-on experience configuring SAP MDG Business Partner, including data modeling, workflow configuration, UI FPM modeling, BRF+, and Data Replication Framework (DRF).
Strong understanding of SAP Business Partner master data, including Customer and Vendor master data management within SAP S/4HANA.
Experience gathering business requirements, facilitating workshops, and translating business needs into system solutions.
Experience creating functional design documents, configuration documentation, and business process documentation.
Knowledge of SAP integration technologies including SOA Services, Web Services, and IDocs.
Experience working within complex, multi-system SAP landscapes and enterprise data governance initiatives.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA implementations, ERP modernization programs, or federal SAP environments preferred.
Understanding of SAP Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), Procurement, and Supply Chain integrations preferred.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functional and technical teams.
Active Secret Security Clearance required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to maintain required security clearance eligibility.
Willingness to travel occasionally to support client engagements.
