Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty License: Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Certification Must-Have: 2 years of experience preferred; however, will consider 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license Description: The role requires travel to a medical surgical telemetry unit with a focus on renal care. This unit cares for patients with kidney-related conditions, such as acute or chronic kidney disease that may require renal replacement therapy. Nurses in this area maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 and specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis. The team values robust collaboration with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to offer optimal care. Staff members are dedicated to supporting patients at every step of their journey, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. The candidate must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed and may work either 36 or 48 hours per week. This position involves patient-facing responsibilities. The workplace uses Meditech as the electronic medical record system. Scrub colors and dress code require solid navy attire.
