Rhino Medical is seeking a CRNA for an ongoing locum tenens assignment supporting multiple hospitals in Norfolk and Leigh, Virginia. This role involves providing anesthesia services in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a focus on outpatient trauma procedures and support for large vascular, neuro, OB/GYN, ortho, and thoracic cases.

Providers will work primarily 7a-3p or 7a-5p shifts, averaging about 10 shifts per month with minimal call requirements. The position requires flexibility to float between hospital sites and manage a patient load varying by location, supported by a dedicated care team in a hospital-based setting.

Clinical Scope

• Administering own drugs and medications
• Placing epidurals, spinals, and arterial lines
• Supporting high-acuity cases including vascular, neuro, OB/GYN, ortho, and thoracic
• Performing outpatient trauma procedures such as arterial lines, lumbar epidurals, spinal anesthesia
• No regional anesthesia blocks like brachial plexus unless specified
• Supporting care in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Managing varied patient volumes depending on location

Schedule & Coverage

• Day shifts: 7a-3p (8 hours) and 7a-5p (10 hours)
• Support for approx. 10 shifts per month
• Some call shifts (beeper), most likely 1-2 per month
• Floating between hospital sites in Norfolk and Leigh

Requirements

• Active VA license or ability to license (preferred)
• DEA registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in anesthesia
• At least some level 1 trauma experience
• Experience with outpatient procedural anesthesia
