Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to perform biological, chemical, and physical analyses of medical devices and related materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role will support testing of incoming raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and environmental monitoring samples while ensuring compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform biological, chemical, and physical testing of raw materials, initial materials, in-process products, and finished medical devices .
• Collect and analyze samples from environmental monitoring programs within manufacturing facilities.
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment to perform routine and specialized analytical testing.
• Perform laboratory assays requiring a strong understanding of basic biology, chemistry, and analytical principles .
• Accurately document and record laboratory results using LIMS and other computer-based systems .
• Complete routine, special project, and protocol testing accurately and within established timelines.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs, specifications, and applicable FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP requirements .
• Prepare and document exception reports/deviation documentation when required.
• Support cross-functional teams in activities related to production efficiency, problem-solving, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
• Participate in laboratory and manufacturing audits and assist with updating plant SOPs as needed.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and verification as required.
• Follow established chemical and biological safety procedures, including appropriate PPE and laboratory safety practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Communicate test results, issues, and observations effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
• Perform additional laboratory or manufacturing-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field , preferably with coursework in analytical chemistry or laboratory sciences.
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience in a regulated manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related environment.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and analytical testing techniques .
• Familiarity with cGMP manufacturing and regulated laboratory practices .
• Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures .
• Experience with or ability to learn LIMS and electronic laboratory/computer systems .
• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and data accuracy.
• Ability to read and follow detailed SOPs, work instructions, and technical procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet testing deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with medical device testing or quality control laboratories .
• Experience with environmental monitoring .
• Familiarity with equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, analytical balances, and other laboratory instruments .
• Knowledge of FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations .
• Experience working in a GMP/regulated manufacturing environment .
