About Our Client

The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads sourcing and procurement initiatives that improve cost, quality, supplier performance, and supply chain reliability. This role partners with operations, engineering, and quality teams to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and support the efficient procurement of materials and services.

Job Description

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and support operational growth.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, delivery performance, and cost effectiveness.
• Lead supplier negotiations, manage contracts, and establish long-term supplier partnerships.
• Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, metrics, and performance reviews while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support new product introductions and resolve supplier-related challenges.
• Conduct market research and cost analyses to identify savings opportunities, mitigate risk, and create value across the supply base.
• Maintain sourcing documentation, supplier agreements, compliance records, and procurement data.
• Drive supplier development programs, risk mitigation strategies, and supply chain continuity plans.
• Support regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and procurement best practices.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategic Sourcing Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier qualification, and supplier performance management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and procurement analytics tools.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
