Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Transit Corporate Building Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will be part of a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact each shift.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, public areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and assist with verifying visitor, employee, and/or contractor credentials in accordance with site protocols for government facilities.
- Support daily operations by observing for unusual conditions, assisting with directional information, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related matters and/or operational concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
