The Market Development Specialist will be focused on active outreach to prospective customers, soliciting new customer contracts, campaign development, and providing direct support to the greater sales team. The successful candidate will cultivate the ongoing development of prospective customer relationships to ensure that the team is able to meet its growth targets.Netrality is a close-knit team of A-players. This is a new position, and an opportunity for the right person to establish efficiencies and best practices enterprise-wide, with the potential for growth of the function over time.Description of ResponsibilitiesConduct sales activity on meet me room and colocation productsSolicit new customer contractsSource and develop new client relationshipsMaintain record of all sales and prospecting activityCommunicate effectively with management and other peersAssist in completing sales projects including proposals and marketing activity as neededAddress customer inquiries, coordinate site tours, and generate price quotesConduct regular customer review calls and follow up as necessaryDevelop new customer relationships and work with all personnel and outside contacts to satisfy customer needsRepresent company in a positive and professional mannerProvide ad-hoc support as needed to sales team and participation in projects as assignedPosition Requirements and Desired SkillsBachelor's degree required1-3 years of recent sales experience required; experience in the technology or telecom industries preferredBe a detail-oriented problem solver with a win-win attitude, working towards meaningful solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPossess a desire to learn and grow, take initiative, and embrace a team environmentExperience working independently as well as collaboratively; effectively managing priorities while meeting hard deadlinesExperience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRMsSelf-motivated initiative taker with relentless pursuit of new customers and prospectsAbility to work cross-functionally with easeHighest ethical and professional conduct and integrityAdhere to all guidelines and expectations set forth in company's corporate handbook
