We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team working in various units, including Inpatient and Critical Care settings. This position requires expertise in respiratory therapy, patient stabilization, and effective communication with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Respiratory Therapy
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Timing: 1830-0700, Every Other Weekend
• On-call Requirements: None

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (AHA)
• Certification Preference: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) acceptable

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies, including ABG sampling, ventilatory management, and performing EKGs
• Care for adult patients primarily, with some pediatric and neonatal patient stabilization in the Emergency Department
• Assist with intubation as needed
• Provide care for patients using ventilators, BiPAP, HHFNC, and tracheostomy management
• Collaborate with RT manager and charge therapists for effective department management

Work Environment

• No floating outside the Respiratory Therapy department; potential to float within Zone 1 if necessary
• Weekend and holiday requirements are part of the schedule
• Department-specific orientation will cover ABG, EKG, Epic, and EPOC systems
