We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily billing and payment operations for a busy finance team in east Lakeland, Florida. This position focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing customer transactions, and assisting with various accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in QuickBooks, and able to resolve discrepancies efficiently while keeping accounting activities organized and up to date.

Responsibilities: • Manage invoicing activities for high-volume customer accounts, including organizations that use customer-specific billing platforms. • Record incoming payments accurately in QuickBooks and ensure account balances remain current. • Monitor overdue receivables and communicate with customers to support timely collection of outstanding invoices as needed. • Review and reconcile month-end transaction activity, identifying discrepancies and correcting issues as needed. • Enter accounting data with a high degree of accuracy to maintain complete and reliable financial records. • Coordinate with internal teams and external customer contacts to resolve billing or payment questions promptly. • At least 2 years of experience in an accounting support, accounting clerk, or similar finance-related role. • Working knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks. • Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy and detail. • Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized transaction records. • Ability to investigate account discrepancies and follow through on resolution. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for customer and internal team interactions.
