Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Texas special education credential/certification (required)
- Proven experience or training working with K-12 students in special education settings
- Ability to create and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive education practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to diverse student needs, ages, and abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs in cooperation with families and school staff
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social growth
- Employ a variety of classroom management techniques to promote positive behaviors
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student goals
- Advocate for resources and services that enable students with special needs to thrive
Enjoy a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours across five days, working with students from kindergarten through grade 12.
