Commercial Loan Specialist

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Duration: 8-12 Month Contract Job Summary Calculated Hire is seeking an experienced Automated Financial Systems (AFS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Fortune 100 Financial Services client within Commercial Banking Operations. This individual will support the Bilateral Servicing team by providing expert operational knowledge of commercial loan servicing while utilizing AFS to manage complex bilateral lending transactions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience servicing bilateral commercial loans within AFS and can immediately contribute to daily operations with minimal training. This position will also partner closely with business stakeholders supporting operational excellence and ongoing lending platform initiatives. Responsibilities Perform end-to-end servicing of bilateral commercial loans utilizing AFS. Process loan activity including: Drawdowns, Advances, Paydowns, Rollovers, Rate resets, Interest adjustments, Fee processing Maintain accurate loan records and ensure compliance with internal operational standards. Investigate servicing exceptions and reconcile loan discrepancies. Collaborate with Credit, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and Relationship Management teams. Serve as the AFS SME for operational questions and issue resolution. Support operational initiatives related to AFS enhancements, testing, and process improvements. Identify opportunities to streamline servicing processes and improve operational efficiency. Support audit requests and regulatory reviews. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Commercial Loan Operations or Commercial Loan Servicing experience. 3+ years of hands-on Automated Financial Systems (AFS) experience. Demonstrated experience servicing bilateral commercial loans. Strong understanding of commercial loan servicing processes and loan lifecycle management. Experience processing complex commercial lending transactions. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Loan IQ migrations or AFS-to-Loan IQ conversions. Experience working in Commercial Banking Operations.
