Step into a meaningful contract opportunity making a difference as an Occupational Therapist within a school setting for the upcoming fall! This district-wide position offers a chance to support students across multiple school sites, working onsite in a collaborative and dynamic educational environment.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about enhancing students’ access to learning and fostering their independence within the classroom. Your expertise will directly contribute to students’ functional skills development and overall well-being throughout the school day.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Connecticut Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous experience as a school-based OT strongly preferred
- Comfortable traveling to more than one school location within the district
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, specialists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services across various school sites within the district
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ participation in academic and functional activities
- Support IEP development and implementation, attending team meetings as needed
- Educate and consult with staff and families regarding strategies for student success
