Director of Operations

Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the functions of Operations to ensure daily efficiency of operations and staff compliance with all established policies and procedures. Continuously monitors the productivity within the clinics while satisfying the needs of the medical staff, patients and support staff. Demonstrate knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with employees, patients, families, and visitors of all age groups, while being sensitive to their cultural and religious belief. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the efficient, effective and smooth administrative operations of the clinics Advocates for exceptional customer service from staff and enforces expected standards of service and performance Implement short and long term strategic operational plans that align with organisations goals; monitor on a monthly basis and develops and implements action plans as needed Responsible for managing health center managers and clinic administrators including performance appraisals and disciplinary action Responsible for enforcement of new policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations that result in excellent patient care Serves as a resource for managers and employees on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. Routinely evaluates clinic procedures to continually improve operations and maintain compliance with regulatory entities. Ensures that all established policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to Meets on a regular basis with the Chief Medical Officer, Provider staff, Senior Administrators and Chief Operations Officer to review and resolve clinic issues Responsible for arranging training of the all relevant personnel regarding appointment scheduling, registration, open referrals, time of service payment posting, insurance verification, and any other relevant applications ensuring that compliance and audit guidelines are in line with SeMRHI’s procedures Ensures that physicians and staff members are continually updated regarding changes in coding, documentation and billing requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, the Office of Compliance and third party payors Analyzes monthly performance data for all clinics for the COO and other senior leaders Work closely with IT to ensure all system upgrades and current system issues are reviewed and properly identified to meet clinic operations Conjunction with Human Resources, will conduct interviews and evaluate candidates for select positions Monitors and review patient data with all staff members to ensure the highest quality of service is being provided Ensures high levels of performance, achievement of goals and quality of results through subordinate managers Maintains prompt and regular attendance Verify timecard at the end of each pay period Effectively evaluates employees by completing 6 month and annual evaluations prior to the deadline Counsels employees on areas of improvement by completing trainings and PCN’s in a timely manner Performs related work, as assigned Completes all required trainings prior to the deadline Job Requirements At least 5 years experience in progressive management role, preferably healthcare Ability to objectively appraise and analyze the qualifications and performance of others as well as the ability to plan and direct their activities Ability to judge appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems Ability to lead a large group of employees while ensuring a high level of engagement and performance Skilled in building relationships with other leaders Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, other third party guidelines as it relates to patient care desirable Computer skills that include MS office and knowledge of CPT and ICD9 coding Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment Excellent customer service, communication, collections and organizational skills Must be a diplomatic problem solver, creative, strong, positive, influential negotiator Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s license Ability to continuously use sound analytical thinking and reasoning in planning and coordination Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to deal effectively with federal funding sources, patients and staff emergencies Physical Requirements Continuously listen, visualize and have dexterity and eye-hand coordination Have a full range of body motion; Frequently sit, reach, use both right and left forearm rotation, walk, stand, kneel and twist Must have ability to grasp firmly, lift and carry, push and pull in excess of 30 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
