This role is based in a life skills classroom and offers the chance to make a difference in the lives of students across K-5, with assignments in either K-2 or 3rd-5th grade.

You will play a pivotal role in guiding a classroom of 15 students, many with autism and other disabilities, and will lead a team of 3-4 paraprofessionals. Your expertise will help shape a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is empowered to succeed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Texas Special Education Teaching License (K-5)
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with autism and other disabilities
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong organizational skills for data collection and case management
• Confidence in supervising and collaborating with paraprofessionals
• Passion for fostering independence and communication skills in students

What You'll Do:

• Teach engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs and learning goals
• Serve as case manager, ensuring compliance and best practices in IEP development
• Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and demonstrate student growth
• Support, coach, and supervise classroom paraprofessionals for seamless team dynamics
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff to foster student progress
