Operations Analyst

Hybrid - Princeton | Hybrid - Princeton, 600 College Rd E, Suite 3500, Plainsboro Twp, NJ 08540, USA This role is to provide dedicated control, execution and management of the term lease chassis off-hire damage billing processes. The person in this role must be organized, methodical and able to manage a multitude of open-ended communications from differing parties simultaneously. The candidate must be able to prioritize their individual tasks based on the changing circumstances. The role requires continual follow up on tasks and opportunities as well as the ability to partner with others throughout the organization as well as TRAC’s customer base. This will be a forward-facing role with a high engagement with TRAC’s customers. Additionally, the candidate may be required to provide general operational support relating to the oversight and management of 3 rd Party Depot Operations, system updates, and data reconciliations. Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Monitor all activities relating to term lease off-hire chassis and ensure all associated parties are providing updates in a timely manner. Update internal tracking documents showing progress toward securing damage billing. Engage with depot operators to ensure they submit chassis repair estimates. Ensure estimates are presented to the customer in a timely manner. Review off-hire M&R estimates for accuracy and completeness. Ensure damage items are identified and accurate as well as any wear and tear items. Engage depots with any updates or corrections needed on an estimate. Partner with Depot Ops team to ensure all persons remain informed of current activities and / or issues. Follow-up with customers to ensure they provide acknowledgement and / or feedback relating to damage estimates presented. Follow-up with customers and depots to ensure damage billing is approved. Ensure all damage billing is submitted for payment. Follow up with billing team and track submission results / billing generated. Engage with TRAC Commercial team to ensure they remain informed of activities and for any customer support as needed. Create and maintain excel spreadsheets to track operations progress. Work with depots and field technical personnel to resolve any discrepancies/issues for maintenance estimates. Maintain Off-hire tracking sheet showing progress toward completion. Monitor redelivery reports and inventories for accuracy. Provide updates as needed. Non-Essential Functions Create Ad-hoc reports as needed Qualifications Two (2) years experience in transportation or billing / accounting type job preferred Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Preferred understanding of Intermodal M&R to include billing and tariff concepts Ability to learn and adapt to new internal software system Ability to perform data entry type functions with attention to detail Ability to identify problems, process resolution and implement action or solution timely Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented work environment Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks. Ability to participate on a team in support of the group for overall mutual success. Special Position Requirements Position requires extensive use of a computer and in house system applications. Minimal travel required may be required. Pay rate budget: $65,000 annual plus 5% incentive bonus Compensation is determined by a variety of factors including candidate qualifications as well as the geographic location of the role and/or candidate.
