Business Data Analyst

Data Analyst

Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

Translate business needs and key performance indicators into data analysis, reports, and dashboards.

Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and prepare business requirement documents and reporting specifications.

Present insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Analyze data related to policy lifecycle, claims, premiums, losses, exposure, reserves, and billing.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards using business intelligence tools.

Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause analysis.

Support regulatory, operational, and management reporting.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports.

Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze enterprise data.

Collaborate with data engineering teams on data quality, availability, and transformations.

Perform data reconciliation, validation, and issue resolution.

Document data definitions, business rules, and metrics.

Strong experience in the insurance domain.

Understanding of policy lifecycle and claims processes.

Experience with premiums, losses, reserves, exposure, and billing.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.

Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Experience working as a data analyst in enterprise environments.

Experience working with relational databases.

Experience in reporting, dashboarding, and data analysis.

Experience with insurance platforms preferred.

Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Advanced Excel skills including data analysis functions.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
