Data Analyst (Statewide) (Job ID: 826965) Overview Texas Workforce Commission connects people with careers across Texas. The role is within the Division of Fraud Deterrence and Compliance and can be performed from any city in the state. Responsibilities Perform entry‑level data analysis and data research work under close supervision. Analyze data using standard statistical tools, methods and techniques. Consult with internal and external customers to identify data analytics needs. Interpret results to identify significant differences in data. Assist in identifying and interpreting data patterns and trends and assessing data quality. Assist in implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Assist in preparing technical reports, identify alternatives and make justified recommendations on data revisions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of GED certification. Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications. Acceptance into a TWC Internship or TWC Apprenticeship satisfies the minimum qualifications. Must be a Texas resident or willing to relocate to Texas. Applicants requiring visa sponsorship (e.g., H1B, student or postgraduate visas) will not be considered. Desired Skills Knowledge of statistics and ability to compile and analyze data sets. Working knowledge of UI program. Knowledge of childcare programs. Skill in developing meaningful metrics and dashboards to measure targets. Ability to present and report on data findings.
