Registered Nurse - Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (17:00 - 05:30) with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex cases and working in fast-paced environments. This position requires dedication to patient care and a commitment to excellence in nursing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and plan effective nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapies per protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Trauma II or ICU setting.
• Current and valid RN license.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS required, NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Ability to float to sister facilities as needed.
