In this role, you will lead complex capital projects from initial concept and feasibility studies through design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, testing and handover to deliver world-class outcomes in manufacturing environments.We are seeking candidates based in (or open to relocate to) the Southeast (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Carolina’s, Tennessee, Virginia).What You Will DoSuccessfully manage multiple capital projects ($15MM–$150MM+) across full lifecycle (P0–P6)Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, safety, and construction Foster alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners; ensure all parties are aligned on project requirements, scope, and deliverablesDrive FEL development and execution readiness (P0-P3)Ensure alignment with mill and business leadershipFacilitate project reviews, status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder communicationsOversee detailed design, contractor coordination, outage execution, and startup (P4-P6)Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsManage and control objective and scope changesDeliver projects that meet business case and performance expectationsPersonal AttributesStrong leadership and ability to influence across a matrixed organizationHigh ownership mindset with focus on delivering resultsSound decision-making balancing technical, financial, and business driversExcellent communication skills with executive presenceCommitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceAbility to work in fast-paced, complex industrial environmentsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related)10+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 6 years specifically on capital equipment or major construction/capital projects.Experience managing projects over $15millionExperience leading cross-functional engineering and construction teamsStrong knowledge of project management practices within a phase gate processAbility to travel at least 80% to support project development, execution, outages, startups, and mill engagementWhat Will Put You AheadExperience in pulp & paper, power, or utility systemsExperience with brownfield capital projects Experience with maintenance outagesExperience with different project execution and project delivery modelsAdvanced degree: MBA or Master’s in EngineeringAdvanced credentials: PMP, Professional Engineer, or other relevant certificationsAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
