job summary:
Manufacturing Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations at our Woodruff, SC facility. Reporting to the Sr. Procurement Manager, Americas, this role takes ownership of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process to ensure cost-effective, timely material flow supporting production schedules. You will serve as the primary supply chain liaison, collaborating cross-functionally with planning, engineering, quality, and finance teams.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field, alongside 5+ years of manufacturing procurement experience. Expertise in ERP/MRP systems, P2P workflows, and inventory planning is required. Preferred qualifications include APICS or CPSM certifications, HVAC manufacturing experience, and knowledge of Lean principles. This is a direct-hire role, and out client is only seeking local talent currently.

responsibilities:

• Manage purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and validate three-way matching for timely supplier payments

• Maintain primary vendor relationships and track KPI metrics (quality, delivery, cost) to drive continuous improvement

• Partner with planning teams to monitor inventory levels, manage MRP activities, and prevent material shortages.

• Monitor open purchase orders, manage schedule adjustments, and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies

• Track purchase price variances, maintain accurate ERP pricing data, and identify cost-reduction opportunities

• Maintain complete records for internal/external audits and participate in Lean initiatives to streamline processes
