Civil Litigation Attorney

A well-established Houston law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with at least two years of experience to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a combination of civil litigation and insurance defense experience, along with exceptional legal research and writing skills. Position: Civil Litigation Attorney Location: Greenway Plaza Salary: $110,000 - $160,000, plus exceptional bonuses and benefits Responsibilities Manage a civil litigation caseload involving architectural and engineering design and product negligence matters Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and provide clear, well-supported analysis Handle written discovery, document review, depositions, mediations, and hearings Develop case strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposure Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other involved parties Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as needed Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and billing records Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas Minimum of 2+ years of civil litigation experience Combination of insurance defense and general civil litigation experience preferred Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills required Experience with architectural, engineering, construction, product liability, or professional negligence matters is a plus Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team #J-18808-Ljbffr
