Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

$1958.40/week -

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated RN for a 12-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, providing care for patients with respiratory, renal, diabetic, septic, infectious, cardiac, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis diagnoses. This role involves night shifts with block scheduling options and requires adherence to hospital policies and certifications.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status throughout the shift.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  
  
• 
  Comply with all facility policies, including floating and mileage restrictions, and adhere to travel compliance requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active Virginia Registered Nurse license; pending licenses accepted with in-hand verification prior to start.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate Epic electronic health record experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS certification and all required credentials.
  
  
• 
  Have at least one year of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Commit to working every other weekend and at least two winter holidays.
  
  
• 
  Successfully pass Nursys verification and provide professional references.
