Position Summary The Anesthesiologist is responsible for evaluating patients and administering anesthesia before, during, and after surgical and procedural interventions. This role provides comprehensive perioperative care, develops individualized anesthesia plans, manages patient safety throughout procedures, and collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program Minimum 3 years of clinical anesthesiology experience Board Certified in Anesthesiology (required) Fellowship training or Board Certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology preferred, but not required Required Licensure & Certifications Nevada Medical License (or eligibility to obtain) Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications DEA Controlled Substance Registration BLS Certification (required) ACLS and PALS certifications as required by department needs Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and risk assessments Develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient history and surgical requirements Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical and procedural cases Manage post-operative pain control and recovery care Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative continuum Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a clinically skilled anesthesiologist with strong critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Candidates should be comfortable managing a broad range of surgical cases and working effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
