Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while utilizing advanced telehealth technology. The role involves regular virtual team meetings to ensure seamless collaboration and quality service delivery. Our work schedule typically runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on the emotional challenges related to aging and life changes such as retirement, bereavement, and health decline.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the needs of geriatric patients.

• Educate family members and staff on best practices and strategies to enhance the emotional well-being of elderly individuals.

• Provide grief and loss counseling both for clients and their families facing end-of-life decisions, ensuring they have adequate support during these difficult transitions.

• Implement evidence-based cognitive stimulation programs designed to promote mental acuity and cognitive health among elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with seniors facing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, and issues stemming from dementia and other age-related disorders. Your expertise will support individuals navigating significant life transitions and emotional distress, providing them with a safe and therapeutic space to express their feelings and concerns.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
