The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering radiation treatment to patients in radiology and cardiology settings, ensuring accurate and safe administration of prescribed doses. The therapist must have strong clinical skills, at least 2 years of experience, and certifications including BLS and ARRT T. Effective communication and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:

The therapist must have strong clinical skills, at least 2 years of experience, and certifications including BLS and ARRT T. Effective communication and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed plans.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to plan and deliver patient care.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor patient responses to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance and equipment calibration activities.
- Active BLS certification.
- ARRT T (Therapy) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Additional certifications or training in radiology or cardiology specialties.
- Experience with advanced radiation therapy techniques and equipment.
- No call requirements.
- No weekend work.
- Does not accept first-time travelers.
- Must adhere to strict radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Monday through Friday schedule.
- Option of 5 eight-hour shifts (0700-1500 or 1400-2200) or 4 ten-hour shifts (0700-1700).
