Radiation Therapist

Provides radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Operates and maintains radiation therapy equipment and ensures patient safety. Key Responsibilities Administer therapeutic radiation treatments to patients according to physician's prescription and established protocols. Accurately position patients for treatment, ensuring correct localization and immobilization devices. Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively. Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions and report to the radiation oncologist. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts and daily logs. Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and treatment plans to ensure accuracy and safety. Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to develop and optimize treatment plans. Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and potential side effects. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including radiation safety standards. Schedule / Shift 5x8s or 4x10s, Monday-Friday Available shift hours: 0700-1500, 1400-2200 (8-hour shifts) or 0700-1700 (10-hour shifts). No weekends required. No call required. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Active BLS certification. Active ARRT (T) certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist. Experience with Epic EMR system. Experience Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience as a Radiation Therapist. Certifications BLS ARRT (T) EMR / Systems Epic Unit / Specialty Radiation Oncology Floating / On-Call No floating required. No on-call responsibilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
