Maintenance Technician

Our customer in Big Bend, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting a Maintenance Technician to work full-time on 1st shift (7:00am–4:00pm). As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Install, modify, and maintain machinery including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and packaging equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production line improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Experience troubleshooting motors, conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems and documentation.

Pay for Maintenance Technician:

Starting at $35-$40/hour, based on experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday from 7:00am–4:00pm.
