Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

Valid and current Occupational Therapy license for Louisiana
Previous experience delivering OT services within a school setting preferred
Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Adaptability in working with diverse student populations and varying caseloads
Passion for empowering students through functional skill development

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students according to their IEPs
Assess student needs, develop individualized intervention plans, and implement evidenced-based therapies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student support
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, interventions, and progress notes
Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations with families and school personnel
Support classroom staff with strategies for fostering students’ independence and access to learning
