HR Generalist

Role: HR Generalist Location: NYC Pay Rate: $32–$35/hour Type: Contract ? Overview We are partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations. This role is ideal for someone who is people-focused, detail-oriented, and aligned with the organization’s values and mission. ? Key Responsibilities Support full-cycle HR operations, including onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR support Assist with recruitment coordination and hiring processes Maintain and update employee records and HR systems Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations Partner with leadership to support a positive and inclusive work environment Assist with HR reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks ? Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR support role Prior experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of professionalism and presentation ? Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities ?
