Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work primarily onsite within our vibrant hospital setting in Los Angeles, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in creating and implementing tailored treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Engage patients in therapeutic exercises, guiding them through stretches and activities designed to alleviate pain and promote physical wellness.
• Educate patients on safe body mechanics, effective exercise techniques, and develop customized home exercise programs that encourage continued recovery post-treatment.
• Administer treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the close supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, keeping track of improvements, including range of motion and functional gains, to inform ongoing care adjustments.
• Ensure that treatment areas are appropriately prepared, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization for all therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Provide emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment conducive to healing and encouragement during challenging moments in their rehabilitation process.
• Comply with all ethical standards and maintain strict patient confidentiality, promoting trust and transparency with patients and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
