Job Description

Parsons Behle & Latimer, a regional law firm, has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant in our Missoula, Montana office. Position requires 3+ years of legal experience in litigation, transactional or both, in a professional legal setting. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; careful attention to detail; and excellent organizational and communication skills. Law firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include supporting attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and providing virtual backup legal assistance for any of our other offices when needed. Educational achievement may be considered in lieu of experience.

This is an in-office position, and the hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. The minimum hourly rate is negotiable commensurate with experience and/or education. The firm’s generous salary and benefits package includes medical and dental coverage, profit sharing distribution annually after eligibility, life insurance coverage, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and personal leave accrual.

Job Requirements:

3+ years secretarial experience in a professional legal environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and case document software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, independent worker with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills
Positive, professional attitude
People-oriented and self-motivated
Able to work successfully in a team environment
