Parts Buyer / Inventory Clerk

Location: Tempe, AZ

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Job Type: Contract, with possibility of extension

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Parts Buyer / Inventory Clerk to support purchasing, inventory management, and facility operations at a manufacturing facility in Tempe, AZ. This role involves coordinating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, monitoring maintenance supplies, and supporting purchasing and administrative activities.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working in an office or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials arrive on time.

• Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies, tools, and operational materials.

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to anticipate material and tool needs.

• Assist with contracts for facility services, including HVAC, janitorial, and equipment repairs.

• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs, and vendor performance.

• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.

• Support facility management, procurement, and compliance-related administrative tasks.

• Communicate with maintenance, production, and other departments to ensure operational needs are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1–2 years of experience in an office or manufacturing environment.

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, is a plus.

• Experience with purchasing software or inventory management systems is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic understanding of facility maintenance and operational needs is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, production, and other departments.

Additional Details

• Must be able to work onsite five days per week.

• Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed.

• Contract assignment with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
