Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in partnership with a prominent client in Endicott, NY within the machining industry
Job Summary
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
1 st Shift: Monday - Friday; 7am to 3:30pm
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Start machines and monitor displays to detect malfunctions.
- Set up machines per documented setup sheet.
- Loads and unloads products.
- Determines and documents machine set ups for each part as needed.
- Stop machine to change cutting tools, setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Complete edits and adjustments as required to ensure parts meet specifications.
- The ability to operate more than one machine.
- Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches.
- Accurately complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
- Inspects work for all dimensional features as required and produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with company requirements.
- Train, guide, and assist other employees as needed.
- Must work in a safe manner and report any safety, machine, or equipment issues.
Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of industry experience
- Experience in milling machines preferred
- Knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
