Job Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support) Location: Stamford, CT (06903) Employment Type: Part-Time; 20-25 hours/week (20 hours/week guaranteed); W2 Schedule: M-F, 3-4 days/week, flexible days/hours Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $35–40/hour, based on experience Requirements: Maintain a smoke free environment Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided) General vaccinations Comfort with children and large dogs A strong swimmer About Our Family We are a busy, multi-generational family with two school-aged children and two energetic dogs. Our home is active and dynamic, and we are seeking a highly organized, warm, and positive Household Manager to help keep everything running smoothly. Who You Are / What We’re Looking For Warm & Nurturing: Comfortable and caring around children, pets, and older family members, bringing a professional and pleasant demeanor to the household Highly Organized: Able to manage household tasks, administrative responsibilities, and schedules with structure and attention to detail Proactive & Independent: Takes initiative, solves problems on your own, and anticipates family and household needs before they arise Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using shared calendars, task management tools, and technology to coordinate schedules, track errands, and manage communications efficiently Flexible & Adaptable: Able to adjust to changing priorities and schedules, with occasional evening or travel support as needed Positive & Calm: Maintains a sunny, self-starting attitude in a busy household, keeping a calm and steady presence amidst daily activity Collaborative & Communicative: Works as a true partner, keeping open lines of communication and updating parents on task progress Detail-Oriented & Reliable: Ensures tasks are completed thoughtfully, efficiently, and consistently, providing peace of mind for the household Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization Create and maintain household organization systems Perform daily resets and prepare the home for cleaning service Daily tidying: load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas, etc. Manage seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding) Organize and coordinate donation drop-offs Prepare for events, holidays, and guest visits Handle packing, unpacking and organizing after travel Indoor plant care Meal Planning & Prep Prepare grab-and-go breakfasts, lunches, and snacks 3-4x/week Prepare protein-forward, healthy meals 3x/week Prep school lunches 3x/week Shop for groceries and meal-related items Maintain dietary preferences and family nutrition needs Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness Vendor & Property Oversight Oversee cleaners, contractors, landscapers Research and coordinate repairs and quotes Seasonal property maintenance Manage outdoor spaces, such as putting pool vacuum in pool 3x/week Skimming pool occasionally Water outdoor plants Family Support & Child Assistance Occasional assistance with pick-ups and drop-offs Prep backpacks, clothing, snacks for camp/school Kid-related errands Inventory & Errands Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies Manage running household supply lists Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target) Returns, managing dry cleaning, gift shopping Managing supply of gift items (bags, wrapping paper, etc.) and replenish when needed Mail and package handling Breakdown boxes Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Coordinate with cleaners to make sure deep cleans occur occasionally Refresh entryway and poolhouse/guesthouse Organizational projects: family closets, pantry, wine, etc. Clean humidifiers and air purifiers Laundry & Linen Care Wash, fold, organize, and put away family laundry Rotate linens and towels 2x/month Maintain tidy and well stocked laundry area Pet Care Occasional vet/grooming scheduling Occasional help with feeding/administering medication Letting dogs out in backyard for exercise Vehicle Management Occasional fueling and cleaning of vehicles Awareness of registration/insurance Administrative & Personal Assistance Calendar management of household schedules Collaborate with the Executive Assistant to manage travel logistics and arrangements Manage scheduling of appointments across multiple generations, including grandparent, parents, and kids Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager Please Note: This role requires a background check #J-18808-Ljbffr Sage Haus, LLC
