Senior Tax Accountant

About the Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who enjoys solving complex tax questions, building trusted relationships, and bringing clarity to clients and internal teams. In this role, you’ll take ownership of tax preparation, review, planning, and compliance work while contributing ideas that improve processes and support smarter financial decisions. What You’ll Do Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, corporations, trusts, or other entities as needed. Research tax issues, interpret changing regulations, and provide practical recommendations to support compliance and planning. Identify tax‑saving opportunities and help clients or internal stakeholders make informed financial decisions. Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance. Support tax projections, estimates, extensions, notices, and audit responses. Maintain accurate workpapers, documentation, and tax records in accordance with firm and regulatory standards. Collaborate with colleagues across accounting, advisory, finance, and operations to deliver a responsive, high‑quality experience. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive tax accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, corporate tax, or a client‑service environment. CPA or progress toward certification preferred. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning concepts. Experience with tax preparation and research software, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and deadline management. Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical tax matters in a practical, approachable way.
