Senior Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant | Asset Management | Chicago (Hybrid) A well-established investment management firm is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting & Finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a tax professional with approximately 3–4 years of experience who is looking to expand their expertise in corporate tax, fund tax, financial reporting, and process improvement within the asset management industry. In this role, you'll work closely with internal finance teams, fund administrators, auditors, and external tax advisors while supporting a broad range of tax compliance and reporting initiatives. Key Responsibilities Review corporate and fund tax filings, including Forms 1120 and 1120-RIC, along with supporting workpapers Support state and local tax compliance, estimated payments, extensions, and tax notices Assist with RIC qualification testing, tax provisions, ASC 740 documentation, and financial statement disclosures Support mutual fund and ETF distributions and shareholder tax reporting Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and external tax service providers Assist with tax notices, audits, regulatory inquiries, and process improvement initiatives What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field, along with approximately 3–5 years of tax accounting experience gained in asset management, investment funds, financial services, or public accounting. Experience with corporate tax compliance, tax provisions, and financial reporting is important, and a CPA or CPA eligibility is strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cyperus Group LLC
