Grand Island Motor Company is seeking a customer-focused and motivated Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and helping customers maintain their vehicles.

As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. You'll guide customers through the repair process, coordinate technician workflow, recommend maintenance services, and ensure every customer receives a professional and positive experience.

Automotive experience is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with backgrounds in customer service, retail sales, hospitality, restaurant management, call centers, or other customer-facing industries.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service drive
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the vehicle repair and maintenance process
• Write repair orders and accurately document customer concerns
• Explain recommended maintenance and repair services to customers
• Provide updates regarding repair status, timelines, and vehicle completion
• Deliver exceptional customer service through every stage of the service experience
• Manage the flow of the service drive and ensure customers are assisted quickly and efficiently
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate technician workload
• Maximize technician productivity by efficiently distributing repair orders
• Ensure available technician time is consistently utilized and sold
• Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and through electronic communication
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
• Maintain strong communication between customers, technicians, and service management
• Help drive customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business
• Recommend maintenance services and repair solutions based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle needs

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience preferred
• Customer service, retail sales, hospitality, restaurant, call center, or business development experience encouraged to apply
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Basic computer and data entry proficiency
• Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, and management
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
