Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool – Georgia

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment with every other weekend requirement (average of 6 weekends per contract). Flexible scheduling across multiple units. Maximum 7 days requested time off. Holiday coverage required based on assignment period.

Highlights:

• Float Pool position rotating between Medical-Surgical, Med-Surg Telemetry, and Progressive Care Units
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS and MS Telemetry
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide (experience required)
• Adult to geriatric patient population with diverse diagnoses across all MS, MS Tele, and PCU specialties
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, lift teams, rapid response teams, and more
• 24 hours of paid orientation with bi-weekly orientation schedule

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 MS Telemetry and 1:4-5 PCU preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, IV management, isolation precautions, and management of various drips
• Flexibility to float across multiple units and adapt to varied patient assignments
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation due by Tuesday prior to start date

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring independently
• Provide comprehensive nursing care across Medical-Surgical, Med-Surg Telemetry, and Progressive Care settings
• Manage diverse patient diagnoses including CVA, cardiac conditions, respiratory support needs, and post-surgical patients
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Respond appropriately to dysrhythmias and participate in rapid response situations
